We brought the gifts down to the Ronald McDonald House on a stormy Christmas Eve through the rain. This didn’t ruin the Christmas Cheer, it just meant that we had to waterproof everything and we ended up having no problems and the truck and trailer load of gifts arrived as planned!!!
We start spreading the word just after Thanksgiving and work hard until the trailer is loaded and we have our celebration toast at Hooters in Wayne (Next year, you should stop in) to mark the beginning of the voyage down south to the Ronald McDonald House with all of the toys arriving to their door step at dusk. These toys help to bring smiles to many faces who certainly need them and without your help, we would have never be able to do this!!
This year I was even invited in for dinner by some of the Ronald McDonald House volunteers and yet again I was able to see first had what a great organization the Ronald McDonald House is and all of the good that they do.
Thank you again for all of your help and you’ll be getting an email in November for Operation Ho, Ho, Ho 2009!! Here are some of the pictures and if you have any ideas on how we can make this better, please let me know!!!
