2020 Operation HoHoHo – Smiles Prevail Through the Uncertainty

As we started preparing for the 2020 Operation HoHoHo toy drive, we weren’t sure what to expect this year because of COVID-19. We usually rely on parties and get-togethers to collect the majority of the toys for the toy drive. As this has been put on hold this year, we were not sure what to expect. However, the Operation HoHoHo Elves didn’t miss a beat and got creative – reaching out to folks in new, fun, and safe ways, and we didn’t miss a beat. Toys started flowing in from all directions, and we certainly kept our friendly delivery folks busy dropping off all of the presents!

We usually run the toy drive until Christmas Eve and then drive the toys down to the Ronald McDonald house in the evening. However, for the first time since we started the toy drive, we dropped the toys off a little early to ensure we followed all safety protocols and allowed the Ronald McDonald House team a little more time to work their magic.

When it was all said and done, we were able to deliver a sleigh full of toys again this Christmas! And yes, I know we say it every year – though it’s because all of you have such huge hearts and continue this simple idea of sharing a few smiles to those in need!

Merry Christmas and we’re looking forward to Operation HoHoHo 2021, where we’ve all worked our way through these crazy times and get back to a bit of nomal!
